Dental sealants are thin protective coatings applied to these surfaces to help seal out food particles and plaque. By creating a protective barrier over these vulnerable areas, sealants help reduce the risk of cavities and support long-term oral health. Your RDHAP can assess whether dental sealants are appropriate for your teeth as part of your preventive care plan.
